Our department provides professional 24-hour protection to homes and businesses in the city. The Hahira Police Department operates under a community-oriented policing philosophy and regularly patrols residential and business districts, investigates criminal activities and enforces local and state laws. The department is fully equipped with state-of -the-art modern equipment and works closely with county, state and federal law enforcement agencies. In addition, our department is recognized for a No Tolerance stance on crime and for maintaining one of the lowest crime rates in Lowndes County and the nation.

Water and Sewer Rates
Water, sewer and sanitation service arrangements can be made at City Hall. A $100.00 deposit is required of residential customers. Commercial and industrial rates vary based on service requirements. With proper ID, military customers receive a reduced deposit of $50.00.
